Background
The Salt Lake Trappers were one of the most successful minor league baseball teams of all time, both on the field and at the gate. Playing in the independent Pioneer League, the team was so successful that it was ultimately displaced by a team from the higher level AAA Pacific Coast League.
Its two biggest claims to fame are a professional baseball record 29-game winning streak, and two of it’s 17 owners being Hollywood’s Bill Murray and his brother and fellow actor, Brian Doyle Murray.
