Dayton Bombers ECHL
Logo T-Shirt
The Bombers proved even more durable than Dayton’s hard hitting Gems teams of the 1960’s and 1970’s. After a full decade without pro hockey at Hara Arena, the Bombers arrived in 1991 and skated 18 seasons in the ECHL. While the Bombers were Dayton’s longest-running hockey team, they never won a championship. The Gems claimed the IHL’s Turner Cup in 1969, 1970 and 1976.

The Hara Arena was a fun place to catch a game. It may have held only 5,500, but when the Bombers scored it got loud.
Hara was the best for all kinds of events. Sure miss the place!
