Surprise Fightin’ Falcons
The Surprise Fightin’ Falcons were a One-Year Wonder that played during the inaugural season of the Golden Baseball League. The GBL was an independent league that began play with seven teams in California and Arizona during the summer of 2005. The Fightin’ Falcons played at Surprise Stadium, the recently constructed spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. After completing the 2005 season with a 45-45 record, the GBL dropped the Surprise club from the league’s membership.
