Miami Sharks
The Miami Sharks were a professional soccer club that endured two seasons of dreadful results (7 wins vs. 33 losses) and puny crowds at Tamiami and Milander Stadiums in 1988 and 1989. The Sharks played in the regional American Soccer League, which represented the highest level of pro soccer in the U.S. at the end of the 1980’s. Following the 1989 season, new owners took over the club and re-branded as the Miami Freedom in 1990.
