Smith Falls Beavers
The Beavers were a One-Year Wonder, playing Class C minor league baseball out of the small Eastern Ontario town of Smith Falls (pop. ~7,000) during the summer of 1937. The team got into (and lost) a dispute over playoff qualification rules with Canadian-American League officials on the season’s final day and was left out of the postseason. The Beavers never took the field in Smith Falls again, moving away to Auburn, New York ahead of the 1938 season.
