  1. Hello. I am looking for any information on a player named John/Jack Haplin that played on the 1947 Lawrence Millionairs/Lowell orphans. He is the Grandfather of a very special friend of mine. I have stats on him but I am looking for any photos of his team uniform. I want to make a replica of his jersey for her. In addition I would love to find any of the ballparks he played on so she can see where he played. Any help would be fantastic….. Thanks…..

    1. Wow. That’s a tough one. Wish I could help, but other than check the local library archives in Lawrence or Lowell, Mass. (if you’re ever in Northern Mass.) or creating e-Bay alerts for “John Halpin” and “Jack Halpin”, I’m not sure what advice I could give you. The e-Bay thing is a real longshot, but if someone ever posted old wire or newspaper photos of your friend’s grandfather for sale, you would get an alert in your mailbox.

    1. Hey Dave, we’re not in the business of buying/selling memorabilia, but your best bet is probably eBay, if someone doesn’t respond to your comment here.
