Background

The Negro Southern League was a minor league for all but one season of its existence. It’s 1932 campaign is considered a major league season, as it was the only Negro circuit to finish a complete schedule. It also featured several former Negro National League (NNL) teams. The NNL folded before the start of the 1932 season.
