Background
This entirely Florida-based circuit emerged from Major League Baseball’s radical re-organization of Minor League Baseball during the winter of 2020-2021. Low-A Southeast effectively replaces the old Florida State League with all ten original members coming over from the FSL.
The Florida Fire Frogs (North Port, FL) and the Charlotte Stone Crabs were dropped in transition when the 12-team Florida State League was replaced by the 10-team Low-A Southeast.
