During its debut season in 2001, the Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA) used a national magazine format called WUSA Gameday for game programs league wide. WUSA Gameday featured some nationally produced content in each issue and a standardized look-and-feel, but cover subjects were usually unique to local markets. So Boston Breakers editions of WUSA Gameday would typically feature Breakers players on the front, etc. The league abandoned this centralized format for its final two seasons in 2002 and 2003, with each local team producing its own smaller programs called Matchday.
