The Mohawk Valley Comets were a rough-and-tumble minor league hockey outfit based out of Utica, New York from 1973 to 1977. The team moved to the Utica Memorial Auditorium in 1973 after 19 seasons in nearby Clinton, New York as the Clinton Comets from 1954 to 1973.
