Moncton Golden Flames
The Moncton Golden Flames were the top farm club of the NHL’s Calgary Flames from 1984 to 1987. For the club’s final two seasons, the team also received players from the Boston Bruins in a shared affiliation. During the Golden Flames’ brief three season run the team helped develop future NHL stars Brett Hull, Gary Roberts and Mike Vernon. Prior to the 1987-88 AHL season, the franchise became a Winnipeg Jets farm team and changed its name to the Moncton Hawks.
