The Blaze were an all-women’s pro volleyball team that played one season of Major League Volleyball during the summer of 1988. The team played at Pride Pavilion, a small arena originally built as a practice facility for the defunct Phoenix Pride indoor soccer team in the early 1980’s. The franchise left town for Portland, Oregon at the end of the 1988 season.
