Background

The Georgia-Florida League of 1962-1963 was a short-lived revival of the old Class D league of the same name that operated from 1935-1958.

Contrary to the league’s name, the 1962-63 edition of the circuit never actually featured a team from Florida. The loop closed for business at the conclusion of the 1963 season.
