Annapolis Sailors

The Annapolis Sailors were a One-Year Wonder minor league football team in the short-lived North American Football League. The Sailors were one of six franchises, ranging on the map from Delaware to Florida, that took part in the NAFL’s debut season in the autumn of 1965. After defeating the Mobile Tarpons to capture the first NAFL championship that November, the franchise moved to Arlington, VA and became the Virginia Sailors in 1966.
