1996 Portland Rockies baseball program from the Northwest League

Portland Rockies

The Portland Rockies were a popular Class A farm club of the National League’s Colorado Rockies for six summers between 1995 and 2000. The Rockies shattered Northwest League single-game and full-season attendance records during the mid-1990’s and won the league championship during the 1997 season. The Class-A Rockies franchise was ultimately displaced by the return of triple-A baseball to the Rose City in 2001 and the ball club moved to Pasco, Washington where it continues to play today as the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Northwest League.

1991 DuPage Eagles football program from the Chicagoland Football League

Glen Ellyn Eagles / DuPage Eagles

The DuPage Eagles were a strong semi-pro football team that played in Northeastern Illinois from the mid-1980’s through the mid-1990’s. The team was known as the Glen Ellyn Eagles from 1984 to 1986 before switching to “DuPage” in 1987, adopting the name of the county where the team practiced. At their peak, the Eagles captured back-to-back national championship tournaments sponsored by the American Football Association (AFA) in 1992 and 1993.

Lakeland Prowlers

The Lakeland Prowlers were a low-level minor league professional hockey team that competed for one season in the Southern Hockey League during the winter of 1995-96. The team had an excellent debut season on the ice, finishing with the best regular season record in the SHL before suffering an upset loss in the first round of the playoffs. But the Prowlers would go out of business along with the SHL itself during the summer of 1996.
