Jersey Larks

The Jersey Larks were a One-Year Wonder that played in the Eastern Hockey League during the winter of 1960-61. The Larks were the first pro sports tenant of Cherry Hill’s Haddonfield Ice House, erected in 1959. The building was better known in later years as Cherry Hill Arena. The Larks lost their franchise due to financial difficulties and moved away to Knoxville, Tennessee under new ownership after one season. EHL hockey returned to the Ice House with the formation of the Jersey Devils club in 1964.
