The Cincinnati Swarm were a Arena Football 2 franchise that played a single season at the U.S. Bank Arena (AKA Riverfront Coliseum) during the summer of 2003. The Swarm were just another chapter in that building’s grim history with indoor football, following the Cincinnati Rockers (1991-1992) and preceding the Marshalls (2005-2006) and the Jungle Kats (2007).

Buffalo Destroyers Arena Football League

Buffalo Destroyers

A relatively undistinguished entry in the Arena Football League during the early 2000’s.  The Buffalo Destroyers played five seasons in the league but never posted a winning record.  In fact, the franchise lost 17 of its first 18 games across two seasons in 1999 and 2000. The Destroyers’ best known player was quarterback Browning Nagle, a 6-year NFL veteran and the 2nd round draft choice of the New York Jets in 1991.
