Background

The Tupelo Hound Dogs were a low-level indoor soccer franchise that played a brief two-month schedule from June to August 1997 in the start-up Eastern Indoor Soccer League.  The EISL was based in the Southeastern U.S., with teams in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.

The Hound Dogs finished 12-12 during their only season of play and missed the EISL playoffs.  Following the 1997 season, the club moved to Pensacola, Florida where they were known as the Pensacola Flyers for the EISL’s second and final season in the summer of 1998.
