Trois-Rivieres Royals

The Trois-Rivieres Royals were a Quebec-based farm club of the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1946-1950 in the Class C Canadian-American League.  The Can-Am League included clubs from Massachusetts, New York, Ontario and Quebec. In 1951 the Royals moved to the Class Provincial League as an independent club with no Major League affiliation.

Les Aigles de Trois-Rivieres (1971-1977)

Les Aigles de Trois-Rivieres (or the Three Rivers Eagles, in translation) were part of the Class AA Eastern League’s expansion into the Province of Quebec in the summer of 1971. Les Aigles joined the Quebec Carnavals to boost the Eastern League’s membership from six to eight clubs. Both the Aigles and the Quebec City club were existing organizations that previously played in the Quebec Provincial League, an independent baseball circuit with no formal connection to “organized” Minor League Baseball. In the Eastern League, the Aigles served as a farm club from 1971 through the ball club’s final season during the summer of 1977.
